18cm Santoku Knife

Bought to use as a back up to my Global knives and they are excellent value. Sharp (as they should be) and easy to handle. I love the subtle Damascus design.

I was impressed how nice the packaging was for this knife. If you were getting this knife for a gift for someone, they would be impressed, and thought you spent a lot more money than you did. The knife comes very sharp right out of the box. The machining of this knife is excellent, and it feels well balanced when cutting. The only downside I can think of is the handle can get slippery if you get water or especially oil on your hands. For the price of this knife, I think it is a great value. Time will tell if the knife holds its edge.

For the price, it's hard to beat this knife. Easy to sharpen the steel. Blade isn't super soft so I don't worry as much about it chipping. Only maintenance, other than sharpening, I do is oiling the handle.
